Les Trans
Since 1979, the Rencontres Trans Musicales festival has been the first event to offer an annual exploration of the major musical trends that will make tomorrow’s news.
Today, they are recognized by all music professionals, the media and the public as one of the outposts for observing and discovering the music scene.
The festival’s philosophy is embodied in an exploratory process of clearing the ground to highlight young talent and encourage innovative artistic expression. The objective is to share with the public the conviction of an artistic project based on curiosity and the search for the new.
Here are artists who played their first gig in France at Trans Musicales: Lenny Kravitz (1989), Björk (1993), Portishead (in 1994, for their first concert outside the UK), Daft Punk (1995), Cypress Hill (1998), LCD Soundsystem (2002), Justice (2006), Stromae (2010), Jungle (2013), Symbiz (2013), Jambinai (2014), Meute (2016), Superorganism (2017), Black Pumas (2018), NST And The Soul Sauce feat. Kim Yulhee (2019).
