Gregailh

A post-traditional dancing music band, Gregailh burst onto the scene in 2024. The Rennes-based hurdy-gurdy and drum duo reworks traditional Breton music with noise, drone and repetitive music.

To capture the power and energy of the bagpipes and bombards that caught their ears, Gregailh uses electronics and wild instrumentation: the hurdy-gurdy is enhanced with effects and distortions, the drum with low strings and metals.

The duo sets this innovative music at the experimental crossroads of dancing music and underground esthectics.
